Inspired by the traditional architecture of a small town in the Spanish region of Estramadura, our Alacantara model of architectural, structural and decorative columns combines an aluminium cast capital of Corinthian inspiration with an elegant, classic and discrete cast aluminium base. This ornamental column presents a very nice aesthetic balance, and has a true aristocratic look that will embellish and enhance any kind of architectural realization.
It is quite suitable for terraces, pergola's and verandas, canopies, arcades around a swimming pool, conservatories, gazebos, and so on. It will also be quite adequate for interior decoration or renovation projects, such as mezzanines and loggias or for the partition of the space in a large loft.
Alcantara, in the Spanish province of Caceres (region of Estramadure) on the frontier between Spain and Portugal, is a small and charming little Spanish town where many architectural elements were obviously inspired from various ancient architectural styles: Roman, Moorish, Islamic, Gothic... Have a look at its elegant bridge with symmetric arcs, that was build in stone without any mortar by the Romans around 100 AC. See also the San Benito cloister, with its Gothic patio and its Renaissance arcades on the outside. Have an agreeable walk at the end of the day in its narrow old streets, have some typical 'tapas' at a terrace in the center whilst listening to flamenco melodies... Just relax and enjoy life!
