Etretat is a family seaside resort in the Haute Normandie region of France, not very distant from Le Havre. It is famous for its landscape of grandiose natural cliffs and dramatic stone needles that inspired many painters amongst which Claude Monet, Courbet, Isabey, Cecile Samain and Boudin. The French composer-songwriter Jacques Offenbach had his own "villa" in Etretat.

Its cliffs and needles were also the set of the romanesque and popular book "l'Aiguille Creuse" (The Mistery of the Hollow Needle), written by Maurice Leblanc and featuring the famous Arsène Lupin.

The elemnts of these decorative columns are produced in our traditional aluminium foundry (www.ludeclercq.be), located in Belgium. The columns are produced by hand, using the traditional 'green' sand-casting method. Thanks to this particular casting method, we feel cofident to give a lifetime guaranntee on the quality of our castings. This is the real 'European Classic' style.
