decorative column rambouillet

Rambouillet is a nice little town in the French "départment" of the Yvelines, at 44 km from Paris, and at the borders of the very vast woods of the same name (La Forêt de Rambouillet); these 14500 hectares of woods were reserved as from the XVI century for the royal hunting parties, first for the French king Henry IV, and thereafter for the following kings of France. The wood coming froms these forests were used for the making of the vessels of the French Royal Navy.

The Presidents of France perpetuated this tradition of grandiose hunting parties, until it was formally abolished by the President Chirac. But it seems that some formal but more discrete presidential hunting parties  are still organized, as was the case during the visit of Mr Khadafi in France a few years ago.

The town of Rambouillet is renowned for its magnificent castle, where the French king lodged during these hunting parties. This castle has also been home to various international summits.

We present you with our 'Rambouillet' ornamental and architectural model of decorative columns. It is aesthetically homogeneous and well-balanced, with its nice cast decorative parts at both extremities. It embodies a quiet kind of elegance, and nice proportions but it is also a structural and decorative model, very easy to install.

It is a combination of tradition, heritage and contemporary design. It is very adequate for the decoration and embellishment of verandas, pergolas, patios, terraces and all types of outdoor or indoor constructions such as canopies, balconies, arcades, lofts, loggias, mezzanines...

All our columns are produced in Belgium, with cast aluminium components that are produced in our traditional sand-casting aluminium foundry, incorporated some sixty years ago.
